Offshore Fishing Trips

Tuna Fishing (July-Oct)

Bluefin begin to arrive in June. The fishing improves in July peaking in Aug, Sept, and Oct.

The most common method of tuna fishing in our area involves anchoring on structure and fishing live bait or trolling.

We fish Shimano Tiagra 80w reels on long bent butt rods fished out of the gunnel. When trolling we fish 50w with stand-up rods. We often run into sharks on these trips as well.

Current federal regulations state that customers may retain bluefin from 27" > 73" fork length. Bluefin < 73" will be sold if quota is open or released. If a tuna is sold on your trip you will receive 40% off a future trip.

Shark Fishing (July-Sept)

The morning starts by heading offshore to a piece of bottom structure that overlaps with the right water temps.

Once onsite the chum goes in the water and we deploy baits at staggered depths and the wait begins!

Many times sharks ignore the set baits and swim right up to the boat to investigate the source of the chum slick.

Blue sharks are the most common but we also run into Makos, Threshers, and Porbeagles.

Haddock/Cod Fishing (April-Aug)

Haddock season is the unofficial kick off of our fishing season, opening April 1st. The haddock fishing typically heats up in early May through June. We target haddock with clams and squid.

We catch many other species while targeting haddock including cod, pollack, cusk, redfish, hake and sometimes halibut! We drift fish when possible and anchor when necessary.
